Mcnastys 10 Shockers 11

After dropping the previous three games, and getting rained out two weeks in a row, The Mcnastys were eager to get back on the diamond, and to try once again to dethrone the league leading Shockers. Having already lost a close, albeit poorly played game to them earlier this season, the pump up meter was turned from zero to "fuck yeah". The Mc's came out ready to play, piling on 7 runs in the first inning, but the hard hitting Shockers did what they were best at and slowly climbed back into the game. Some strange plays in the outfield, including a catch made by CF Mike Yearsich that got ruled as a dropped ball, helped the Shockers pick up steam and at the end of 6 innings it was the Mcnastys down by one run with the heart of the order up to bat. With a man on first, SS Brian Mcconvile hit into a double play. 1B Ryan Rodgers smacked a ball the other way that ended up being kicked around the infield for a double. So with Two outs and the tying run on second, C Glenn Logan stepped up to the plate, you could cut the tension with a spork. after taking a few pitches, Logan pulled the trigger on a good hitters pitch into left center, that just would not drop. The catch was made and the Mcnastys walked away with yet another loss.
The Mcnastys look forward to a double header with division rival Jamesons Pub next week (assuming that it doesnt get rained out again.)
