After dropping the previous three games, and getting rained out two weeks in a row, The Mcnastys were eager to get back on the diamond, and to try once again to dethrone the league leading Shockers. Having already lost a close, albeit poorly played game to them earlier this season, the pump up meter was turned from zero to "fuck yeah". The Mc's came out ready to play, piling on 7 runs in the first inning, but the hard hitting Shockers did what they were best at and slowly climbed back into the game. Some strange plays in the outfield, including a catch made by CF Mike Yearsich that got ruled as a dropped ball, helped the Shockers pick up steam and at the end of 6 innings it was the Mcnastys down by one run with the heart of the order up to bat. With a man on first, SS Brian Mcconvile hit into a double play. 1B Ryan Rodgers smacked a ball the other way that ended up being kicked around the infield for a double. So with Two outs and the tying run on second, C Glenn Logan stepped up to the plate, you could cut the tension with a spork. after taking a few pitches, Logan pulled the trigger on a good hitters pitch into left center, that just would not drop. The catch was made and the Mcnastys walked away with yet another loss. The Mcnastys look forward to a double header with division rival Jamesons Pub next week (assuming that it doesnt get rained out again.)

After two weeks of rained out games, the 2013 softball season finally started Wednesday. Obviously nobody was more pumped up than The Mcnastys, who until now, could only bench-press cars and punch holes into concrete to prepare for the softball season to start. Week 1 welcomed the perennial cellar dwellers known as The Longballs, who have the distinction of having an 0 - 12 record from the previous season. The Mcnastys, fueled by redbull and sheer hatred for anyone remotely resembling Ben ... Continue reading...

Excitement over their first ever playoff apperance was short lived as the Mcnastys were shut down in a 17 - 4 rout by the veteran Renegades. The Gang Green came out strong putting up 3 runs in the first, but quickly gave the runs right back in the bottom half of the inning. After putting up only one run in the second, the offense ran out, while the defense also fizzled. Mcnastys finish the regular season with 5 wins 7 losses. Team AVG .434 OBP .472 and 64 team errors. After the dissapointin... Continue reading...

With the temperature looming at a face melting 101 degrees, the Mcnastys knew they had to win one game of the double header, and stepped into the first of two games with high hopes. battling hard against a 1st place Rogues team. Although they played a tight defense side of the ball, lack of hitting early on cost them the game, falling short 11 to 4. Frusterated and super pissed off, they welcomed the sight of the deadbeat, bottom feeder Longballs. Tacking on 10 runs early on, and taking advan... Continue reading...

With rain looming in the distance the Mcnastys knew that they had a must win game on theyre hands. And they wasted no time to get men on and over the plate. After letting up 2 runs in the top of the 1st, they collectivley bitch slapped Vintage Junk in the nut bag by putting up 6 runs in the bottom of the 1st. After several innings of back and forth play, it came down to the bottom of the 7th, 2 men on, 2 men out, game tied at 12 -12, with The Mcnastys smallest player at the plate, Ryan Simest... Mcnastys vs Cold Beer Mcnastys win 10-9 It didnt look good for the crazy bastards in green, with a lack of clutch hitting, and minor defensive miscues early on in the game. They fell behind 9 - 2 going into the bottom of the 7th inning. But just when they needed to, The Mcnastys collectivley opened up a Thor sized can of Whoop Ass on Cold Beer. Everyone seemed to get on base, and, with the bases loaded, 2 outs, Mcnastys down 7 - 9, Wild Bill stepped to the plate. After he punched Cold Beers cat... Continue reading...
